4worldlovers: This week, we spotlight our third-grader Joshua, who joined ISR in Kindergarten. Joshua is a very kind, friendly, and open-minded student. He is always happy and very eager to learn, as his homeroom teacher Ms. Hartmann confirms. “Joshua is always thirsty for knowledge and very inquisitive. He is a great friend to his classmates. Having Joshua in my class is wonderful.” In addition to his academic achievements, he also shows great skills in sports and enjoys the lessons. “Joshua is well-mannered and a polite young man. He is very enthusiastic about sports and performs to a strong level in relation to his coordination, fitness, teamwork, and skill application. ISR prides itself on preparing the students for their future path. Two full-time staff members counsel students on career options and corresponding course selections. An important part of the curriculum is also our “Student Leadership Council” (SLC). There, students learn initial organizational and leadership skills. Different teams take care of specific tasks in the school, and each team member takes on a different role and responsibility. SLC thus offers an outstanding platform for learning and developing social skills.

Around half of this year’s graduating class 2022 started at ISR in Kindergarten or Primary School, hence, there is tremendous importance of instilling values that are essential for life at an early age.
